Our application is a free translation and tutoring tool. To provide its core services, the application behaves as follows:

Local Processing

The software captures text on your Windows desktop environment solely to process the translations you request. No local data or contextual history is tracked, logged, or stored permanently on your machine without your explicit action.

API Processing

To translate and break down Japanese text, the application transmits the specific text queries you input to the Google Gemini API. This data transmission is required to generate the AI translations and linguistic analysis.

Explicit Action Requirement: Translations are executed strictly on user request (e.g. keyboard shortcut or clicking translate). The software does not passively record your screen or keystrokes.

Third-Party Services

By using this application, your text input data is processed by Google's Gemini API infrastructure. Data handled by the API is subject to Google's standard developer and privacy terms.

  • Google Gemini Infrastructure: Requests sent to the Gemini API are handled in accordance with the Google AI Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Our application does not require user registration, email sign-ups, or personal account creation. As such, we do not store any personal identity data on external servers.

Total User Control: Because no account or profile data is ever created or stored by MLTranslate, you do not need to submit account deletion requests. Uninstalling the application removes all local application settings from your Windows device.
